Georgetown, Washington DC safety
My little sister is going there for school (Georgetown University). She will need to move to there and rent apartment. Where is a good area she can stay and still can commute to school easily? My coworker told me to stay away from Northeast region of Washington DC.
For people who knows the area well, please advice.

Post this in the National G Club area.
I am moving to the N.W. area of D.C. in a few weeks and I have always been told to stay away from the S.E. part of D.C., but I've never heard anything wrong with the N.E. section.
If she is going to Georgetown, why doesn't she just live on campus? That will be MUCH cheaper then getting her own place since food is typically included in housing fees.

Most of NE and pretty much all of SE arent good areas to be in. NW is the best area in DC. SW is more government buildings but NW is where most of the nightlife is. NW is also the most expensive area to live in too though...
The school doesn't offer dorm for grad student. The biggest problem is, Metro does not get too close to the school campus. i believe they have suttle bus, but it can be a problem if she studies late at night in school campus
