Question on heater, A/C unit
Question on heater, A/C unit
This is the first time this morning I used my heater since I bought the car in May. When the heater is on, if I switch to recirculating air, the A/C comes on, and when I switch off the A/C button, the recirculating automatically switch to outside air. I cannot have recirculating air without A/C unit on! I have owned many cars but never have any car that dictates itself! Is this normal?

Re: Question on heater, A/C unit
You need to have fresh air for the heat. if you recirculate with the heater on the windows will fog up.

Re: Question on heater, A/C unit
normally you recirculate the air for a/c to keep the moisture out and keep it cold. constantly bringing in 100 degree wouldn't be as efficient as cooling the already cool air in the car. and like joel said, for the heat, you'll fog up the windows if you recirculate.

Re: Question on heater, A/C unit
Yes, I still like the flexibility of other makes that let the driver to control the unit. I just don't like to smell the exhaust of some beat up car or a truck driving in front of me. Nissan should re-design the unit to provide the flexibility to the owners.
