i know there are 2 guys on autopia.org in ny. one is in S.I. and the other is on L.I. i've seen pictures of their work and they seem pretty competent. the one in S.I. is NY Detailer. I seem to also recall there were 2 in NJ, however I don't recall their screennames off hand. try posting/searching the forums, i know it's been asked before. gl.

thanks for trying to help guys, i know its pretty difficult to find some other person to do quality work on our cars when we usually only trust ourselves (at least thats how i am). i think i may just go to auto image in east brunswick on rt 18 or rt 1, i figure how bad could they possibly mess up right? and it's my brothers beamer, not my g hehe..maybe i'll see how they work then consider bringing mine in for the spring detailing

the best detailer is yourself cause they don t care as much as you do for the appearence of the car.i know how you feel . i went to ray catena and they did a decent job.unfornately, the best detailer is the owner of their car
good luck
