so my exhaust has had a leak at the y pipe for about a year or 2 and it's just starting to sound like complete dog ****. could anyone recommend a good shop to go to? preferably north shore or even southern New Hampshire. and I do not want to go to Lou's, much too obnoxious

A leaking Y-pipe is a perfect excuse to get rid of that restriction all together and do a cat-back system.
