Engine swaps in NY

hello I have a 05 coupe 6MT and im looking for a good shop in NY that can do a VQ35hr swap into my 05 coupe , just leave the shops name & number thank you

you should probably post it on the local forum to get better responses. But its not worth it. The harness, ecu and other things are different. Its a pain to get the computers to work together. I think the guy that did the hr swap spent $8k. a LS swap is $10k and you get more power.

Thanks , I just like the VQ sound but if I could do a 2JZ or RB swap for about $10k I'll be happy

Yeah i understand what you mean...i love the vq sound too. But honestly if you really want the VQ sound...i would just supercharge it and call it a day. A 2JZ would be nice...but thats a iron block engine and the engines weighs a lot more then the VQ. It'll make the car understeer like a pig, unless your only looking for straight line speed.

The RB is a nice Iron block engine but parts for that car are rare and expensive in the US...it would be cheaper to mod the 2JZ

You can probably just PM the guy that did the HR swap, just search for the thread. Installing the physical engine into the bay was easy, but getting the harness to work with the DE computers was a big pain in the butt from what the guy posted and took a lot of man hrs to work out.
