Pocono Raceway Pictures

The best meet/event i have ever been to!! Plus I found a new perk of being a ZGCA member; free rides to the cafeteria on the Pocono raceway golf kart courtesy of JDs mom. Maybe I should have her teach me to drive as well as JD.
I have about 100 pictures http://www.350zconnect.com/POCONO0605/index.htm

Looks like quite a track. I've only ever seen it on the tube so far. Someday I'll visit and maybe even try it out.

Painters tape to protect the headlights from high speed road debris.

Looks hot! I just got back from the track myself not too long ago. Went down to Hallett in tulsa, OK.

I know there is an even that you can sign up on HondaTech site where you pay 300 or something and you get 2 days worth of track time and one of the raceway is pocono and a few others in NE area. I'm gonna try and sign up for that... wonder if any other G owners will do the same.

will do...
- from what my friend told me who did it, you get to ride with a instructor who tell you what to do. You come in as novice and they teach you and as you get better they put you in better class. You get about 5 track seccionns. I will post more info when i talk to my friend

I just dont expect a lot of people from this board to join. I already made a post once before about going to Hallett with me and only 1 person responded.

But i'm glad to know there are guys from NE area that into it. Shame to see all these guys buying these crazy mods... but no one is willing to put the car through the paces. shame.

I've been to several track events at the pocono track with the wrx. I've only ran the north course though. An organized driving event on a rd course is one of the best mod an enthusiast should do

Not sure what event those pics are from. But i go to the EMRA ones. Basically if you're a novice. You sit in the class room for about 1/2-1hr. And they teach you the basics: driving lines through different corners, the meanings of different signs, basics of heel toe, importance of driving smooth, etc...
Every novice has an instructor. You get in the car with your instructor....he drives 1/2 speed through the course so you get to see the layout and best lines to enter exit turns. Then you switch and you start driving. Basically from then on he coaches you telling what you're doing wrong and how to improve. If and when you get good enough he signs you're license, which allows you to drive by yourself the rest of that day and in future emra events
These are the emra timetrial events. In the morning and early afternoon there are practice sessions. Typically 2 30min practice sessions. Then they do time trials where cars go one at a time and are timed via stopwatch.

We had a post on here for about 3 months dont know how you missed it but dont worry ill be sure to let you know when we are having the next one. I mean you could sign up for any rd event but i think for me one of the best parts was looking in my review mirror and seeing another G while i was on the tail end of Z, loads of fun!
