I am going to go surgery on the G this weekend when I get back. Joey doesn't want to roll my fenders because he says the paint will crack. I am thinking of just shaving the lip off and throwing my spacers on. +24 offset with 20mm spacer for grand total of +4 offset. What do you guys think?

Off topic...
Can i still equip wheel spacers after lowering my ride 1 1/2 in the front and 1.0 in the back. I'd like to avoid wheel rub obviously...

Are they stock wheels? If so you can run 25mm all the way around and not have clearance issues. If you have after market wheels then what are tue offsets and are you running stretched tires?
Registered User
Sweet, yeah they're stock sport 19"s and will that 25mm bring it out to the surface of the fender for that clean, smooth look? If so, sold.

And when you speak of offset you're talking about the rims stagger, correct? If so they're 245's in the back and whatever the fck in the front.

Yea still non of that **** makes sense "114.3mm high positive offset", i mean seriously. I've worked on all my cars enough to know the basics, but aside from the technical bull, well...it's technical bull.

"A bolt pattern of 5-115mm would mean the wheel has five bolt holes and they are 115mm apart (measured across the center of the wheel)", with that being said how will i know what is the maximum spacer i can use without the costly "trial and error" approach? Becuase to my understanding the offset is the same for the rims regardless of there stagger and i ASSUME the overall placement falls within the same distance(in regards to front and back rim) from the outmost edge of the rim to the fender without gettin on my hands and knees with a ruler. I'm sure this may sound trivial, but what the hey, i'm at work.

You can definitely find some more useful information than that. The offset is the distance from the hub of the wheel to the edge of the rim. the lower the offset, the further it pushes the wheel out (closer to the fender). The wheels WIDTH also has everything to do with how close it will be to the fender too. MOST wheel fitment can be determined with simple measuring, geometry, and experience (a knack) for this sort of thing. Most of it comes from guys who are die hard and have a lot of trial and error. When you're talking about stock wheels though people experiment with that all the time .... if you're on stock 19s get 25mm in the rear and 20mm in the front and call it a day.
