Hey,

To introduce myself...I have been reading this forum for some time. I was an Engineering Intern at Nissan and that is where I fell in love with the G. Unfortunately, I do not drive a G (poor college student); however I hope to buy one soon.

I just graduated and will be moving to the VA Beach after the first of the year to start a job at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I wanted to get your advice regarding the best places to live for a young professional. I plan to rent for 6-12 months to learn the area...then buy a house.

I have been told that Town Center is the best area for socializing and meeting people… do you agree?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The Town Center is a nice place, a lot of G35 and 350Z owners live in that area, also when we do are weekly meets in the spring/summer/fall is about 5 mins away.

 

yes town center area is nice, look also for a place around shore drive away from the norfolk boarder. Ghent in Norfolk is very nice and is about 15 mins from town center and 10 mins to the shipyard.

Citymunky Motorsports has a room available on top of ther garage, you should go and check it out, hey get your car worked on and sleep at the same place, pretty quiet for all the lifts and air tools goin on you can barely notice them
