Super sensitive tire pressure sensor?
Super sensitive tire pressure sensor?
Okay, this is driving me nuts, and I'm hoping I'm not the only one with this issue.
The sensor for my tire pressure is ultra sensitive. Everytime I hit the interstate with lotsa bump and potholes, and these are not major ones, just the usual for Philly roads, ya know (even on Rt30, I95, I76)... the tire pressure warning light turns on-on the dashboard . We stop the car, and check the tire pressure, and it's all okay.
My quick fix is to turn the engine off, and turn it back on, the warning light on the dashboard dissapears. This has been happening for the 10th time already since I got my car. It's getting very annoying
Does your G do that? Or do you think I have a faulty tire warning pressure sensor?

what's the pressure read? I mean just add a little more air and it should add a little safety net, right? Hitting potholes, bumps should cause transient increases in pressure, not decreases. So I don't understand why it would be set off...
This is the time of the year where this starts to happen now that there is a chill in the air with lower temps. Things tend to contract in the colder weather, it is common.
What I would do is check your tire pressure in the morning or when the tires are cold and inflate the cold tire to the proper pressure.
In most cases this should correct the problem. If it doesn't ...... Hellllooo Infiniti and make an appointment, your sensor needs attending to.
