Follow-up to Snowboarding/Skiing...

IMO, I think Camelback would be the best location for everyone (NY/PA/NJ peeps), unless people agree on Blue Mountain. Blue is about a 2.5 hour ride from the NYC/SI area, so it is a little further. Camelback is about an hour and a half, if I remember correctly.

Anyway, I was thinking February 11th or February 18th. Please let me know which date works best for you and depending on how many people we have interested, I am going to look in to getting a group discount for us as well.

In.....no preference on the mountain. Whichever is more convenient for everyone else.

Just came back from mountain creek... something you want to consider are the conditions over at camelback. There are tons of bare patches on the trails at MC. Some are so bad that you only have 2 feet of clearance to avoid a bare patch. While they have the ability to make snow, it hasn't been cold enough.

Maybe plan the trip just after a cold front?

Okay boys...

Do I have to start name calling? LOL

Blue Mountain peeps were:
arjunz, casanova_love, CCns23, FoeDoe350Z, fx45copper, G6MT, GTT, koreangrl, MoHaWk2003, mousenmbr1, realgone, SixFive, terryw, TNTG35, truplay8, ttrank, VQdriver, whitebullet05

Camelback peeps were:
Balzac72, EQUATE, G35sedan03, jaxg35, Jester4710, KrazyEd, mcy4ever, safil, sesegal99, willthethrill, wnt1bd

Sounds like Camelback conditions aren't that great, and when I went 2 Sundays ago, they were making snow at Blue. BTW, I did see some NYC/SI peeps there and they said it was about a 2.5 hour drive, so a little further then Camel.

Depending on how the weather is...looking at Feb. 11th, 18th or 25th.

C'mon peeps lets go boarding or skiing! POST UP!

Camelback

I went snowboarding for the 1st time on new year's day, and my thumb still hurts from falling so many times. Don't count on me, but I might show up.

Well, I know the season hasn't been the greatest this year, so maybe that is why the lack of enthusiasm. LOL

So, for those of you going skiing/boarding any time this season, just post up when you are going and maybe a few people here and there will meet up at the mountains. I hope to go next weekend, but just waiting to see how the weather holds up.
