330$ for 15 k service?!!
#16
Oooops...there's a 15K service interval?! Guess I missed it 20K miles ago..... I actually just got my 30K service done today with 35K miles on my car and it cost me $368.86 total ($243.08 labor, $116.92 parts plus expenses & tax). Consisted of general inspection, new in-cabin filter (that's supposed to be done @ 15K and I'm still breathing ), flush coolant system and perform wheel alignment. I originally was going to bring my car to a local "chain" shop for service (i.e. Midas, Aamco, etc., but I'm just not comfortable doing that). Anyways, I had to drop my car off @ Infiniti anyways for warranty items to be fixed...so I said what the heck.

Its Slow season so the dealers got to make money some how...i work at a chrysler dealer and i do all my own work to my car...i do side work also...what does a 15K consist of??? cause to me thats just an oil change and top off fluids...and check the cabin and air filters...why would you need a coolant flush on coolant that is 100Kmiles & 5 year approved....Im at 26K and i just did my oil change and at 32K im doing another Oil Change and Plugs...it usually suggested to change Plugs and 30K but im a little off cycle...My car is actually going in to Ray Catena this monday to get all warranty stuff done i got a list for them lol ...

well you can do it at 100k but me being a tech i do it at like 30k to 35k thats what i suggest..this is for platinums cause for reg plugs i would change them every 15k so you are getting max performance out of your car plugs do start to break down...i have my own way of servicing my vehicles...and my services depend upon the parts ad fluids i use...

Pepe Infiniti has horrible service - make sure you check your wheels afterwards - they curbed both of the driver side wheels and then added they wouldn't do anything about it. They've definitely lost my service, and paying $300+ for a 15k service is ridiculous. These are the times I wish I had a BMW, at least I wouldn't have to foot the bill for 4 years.

Why does it cost $300 for the 15K service?
Premium Oil change and filter = $50.00
Cabin Filter (You can buy it and do it your self)
What else needs to be serviced? The Premium Oil Change involves checking a lot of things and topping off fluids. Coupes don't get their tires rotated and you can check and adjust the air pressure your self.

300.00 for that is rediculous. Buy a manual and DIY.

My local dealer performed the 15K for less than $200, but for the 30K he quoted $595. I went in with my warranty book and said "do sched1/2 only". We went thru all their crazy checks and even adding on a coolant change (Infiniti says 4 yrs/60K, I say screw that! 2/30K!) and minus a 10% discount coupon my service came out to < $400. If you don't change the coolant either -- it's not required -- you should be at $400 too.
End answer is: tell them to follow the manufacturer's required maintenance, not whatever they want to slap on.
Good luck!
