Well the tranny was being replaced under warranty at 19K. The pressure plate busted at 11K (New clutch added then) then when I had the rattling again at 19L I said **** it. I am tired of this stock crap so I wanted to upgrade. I asked the dealer when they told me they were ordering a tranny, if they can install an aftermarket clutch, they said yes...so I figured screw it. I don't want this stock crap in there only to have it break again out of warranty. I ordered the JWT combo from MRC, they busted their **** to get it to me quickly (like 2 days) and low n behold the LAME **** dealer refused to install it they day I brought the car back in for the tranny. So since I had it, I said F' it let's GET R DONE and have some fun!

I just feel that most Nismo stuff is way overpriced. I read good reviews on the JWT and figured I would give it a shot. You can get the JWT for a few hundred cheaper then the Nismo I believe. Don't forget I had all of an 30 min to research and make a decision. I had to to get the order in and have it shipped to me ASAP. So far I like it, I just need to break it in. Anyone wanna drive my G around EASILY for a few days since I don't drive her during the week?

HELLZ YEAH I'M KIDDING!!!

Do you have an '03 or an '04?

I think I'm one of the few original '03's that hasn't had any tranny problems. *knock on wood*. And I abused the crap out of it learning how to drive stick on it, and teaching two of my friends how to drive stick as well. Not to mention my abusive downshifts on the track since I suck at heel/toe.

But I fear if I keep it up, my clutch will go. Would love to get a detailed review of the JWT once it's broken in. Keep us updated on day to day smoothness/jerkiness.

03 in da house! Build date of Jan03 kinda like me....just many January's lata!

Def will do! Next time I see ya, I'll let ya take it for a spin since you already know how to drive a stick. LOL As long as its broken in, it's all good in the hood. If you like to autox (I wanna try that this year), they say this is a great setup! Revs fast but I will let ya know when I can rev it up.

I will be honest and say that I did stall when I first went to take off. I am used to the clutch grabbing further up. This literally grabs right off the floor. The first half of the ride home was a lil jerky but I am getting smoother each time I drive it. I have it down pretty good now and by the end of this weekend, I should be much smoother. I can still get out of first without breaking 1K rpm's so me likey!

Just wanted to chime in with some more biggups for MRC. That crew really has this thing down to a science and I don't care how far you are from the shop; if you can find a way down there to get your work done you won't be sorry. I have had work done in the past to other cars where I was told "uhh..sorry, we aren't open that late." or "yea..come back next time". Not these guys. They stayed out there till WELL past 930pm a couple of weeks ago to get my mods done on my G with no complaints (well, none to my face, anyway ;-) ). AND that was with me calling them every half-hour!
Again, i cannot stress enough the awesomeness that is MRC. Thanks again!

P.s. - the APS Tallboy + Xerd headers sounds great, guys. AND she moves mean. Ill be back in within the next few weeks for the UTEC and a tune.

The guys at MRC are very knowledgeable and professional (they installed my headers & HF cats). You guys should open up a shop in AZ
