Ive searched the 'net, but havent really found a definitive answer. I know the anti-handgun vote passed last fall, but it is being challenged. From what I understand, the law has not gone into effect yet, so for now, you can still legally possess a handgun inside SF city limits, correct? When I move out next month, I want to make sure I can bring my pistols with me. Any other handgun owners out there?

 

Yes it was challenged in court and struck down as SF was trying to sidestep Ca law as it currently stands. The judgement was citys can't constrict the law more than the current state law. They will appeal and LOSE BADLY!! Enforcement of current laws REALLY helps but that does not win votes. Thanks for trying to clamp down on the law abiding. You will hear the"will voice of the people has spoken we must listen"....if that were true Prop 187 would be in place but that was trampling on constitutional rights.....mmm
