My good friend has an apartment in Berkeley with a secured (gated) underground parking spot. He drives a POS, so I'll see if he's around to let you use his parking spot... He's 3 minutes away from campus.

doh, well it was worth a shot. thanks for checking boris. anyone else have ideas? i'm thinking i need to buy a car cover since this is going to be a regular situation. gf's going to boalt...

she's got a parking space behind her building, but it's under a bunch of pine trees i just realized this morning i probably can't get a car cover on such short notice, and i'm paranoid about my car getting keyed or my wheels getting jacked overnight

your question seems somewhat general. are you looking for a spot in berkely that's close to where your staying? Or any place in berkely thats secure? OR a place that's relatively close that's secure? If your looking for the ladder, I live in Piedmont (7 min drive), which is like a gated coomunity pretty much lol. you could park it right next to my G but i doubt this would work for you. But im just tossing the offer out if you cant find anything else haha. its really not that bad an option though

actually that might work pretty well for me. since she has a car, any place that's close by that i can drop it off would work. her neighborhood's not bad, but it's definitely all college students living there and i rarely see a decent car parked out on the curb.

is ur G parked in your driveway? it sounds like you're close by... let me know

If the gf has a car, then park overnight at Summit Hospital. The main lot is on Summit & 30th St. (between Broadway and Telegraph). I have a business around there and it's safe within the hospital area.

^Giri, as someone else posted above, a car with a car cover is 10x more conspicuous then one without. If I was a little thug, I'd think you are some pompous *****, especially if you had "only" a G35 under the cover. I think you are safer without one. You are also lucky that the majority of your mods are subtle, and not noticable to non-G35drivers. I think you should just be very selective with where you park, or invest in an alarm system with 2way pager...
