That looks very nice, Andy! Do you have any shots of the rear window?

I'm getting mine done on Wednesday. My problem is that I keep changing my mind. I'd love to have 35% all around but I will most likely go with 50, 35, 20. 50 is too light, 35 is perfect for the sides, and 20 might be too dark for the back...ugh...it's driving me crazy. Seeing the back will help me out a lot.

Thanks.

Thanks, Rudy . . . Here's a pic of the 35 rear. Keep in mind that the pic appears darker than it really is.

RawFusion: 20% in the back is too damn dark. Great during the day, but it is hard to see out at night. I do with I had 35% on the sides though 20% looks bad ***.

Thank you, Andy, thank you for making my decision even harder.

I just can't believe how hard it is for me to pick something and stick with it. What looks dark in one picture, look light in another making it hard for me pick something in the middle.

But I think I know what I want now thanks to your pics and the Sac-town meet pics.

LOL . . . Actually, 35% all around would have looked quite nice . . . But I am fearful of the watchful eye of the LAW.

RawFusion: If you want, you can check mine out to see what 20% looks like in person. I wish I could have checked someone's car out before I did mine.

LOL...I hear you on that one. 30's on rear windows and back was no brainer for me. 20 on back too dark at night to see out of.
My delema was front windows...50 or 40...50 or 40............oh heck! do 40's.
I'm pushing it with 40s not to be too obvious with the LE.
No hassels.......yet

depends on your interior color as well. Mine looks pretty tame with the sunshade open and 20% all around due to the light colored interior. A buddy has the same set up but has black interior and his looks 3 times darker than mine when parked together. If you want to see what 20% looks like in the day from outside the car check out the sac town meet pics I am the only LS sedan and I was driving with the sunhade open.

You hit the nail on the head with me, there. I didn't dare go any darker up front due to my black interior.

First let me apologize to Andy for discussing my tint in his thread.

35% all around is what I really want, but that is just going to get me in trouble with the cops.

Fairfield, from what I've seen so far, isn't bad, but CHP will pull people over just for tint or no front plates (been there, done that) no matter where you drive. Daly City cops will pull you over if you fit the "racer" type. I use to live in Daly City so I'm there visiting friends once and a while and I spend most of my driving time on I80.

So with that said, I'll sadly get 50% on the front two to minimize my chances of getting pulled over. I don't want my little side windows to look way darker than the 50% hence the 35%.

Now the back window. The problem for me here is that I want something that's dark enough. 35% in strong sunlight doesn't look dark sometimes but is perfect at night. 20%, on the other hand, looks great in the day time. As long as I can see out through the rear window in the day time I'll be okay. I want to be able to see cars in my blindspots, ya know?

sfgr415, does 20% bother you on the big rear window? I'd love to see yours in person but I'm getting it tinted on Wednesday.

mackinnr, your 20% rear window isn't totally dark (if I'm looking at the correct sedan) which makes me feel comfortable going with 20% on just the rear.

Anyhow, 50%, 35% and 20%(or 35%) is what I'm going with. That's my final answer. Wait...I want to use my Lifeline...

Thanks for all the help, guys.

RawFusion: 20% is perfect during the day. You can easily look out of all windows. At night though, it is tough. It might be easier to see out of another car with 20% tint at night, but on the G, it is tough. I have to roll the side windows down to check side mirrors. As for the back, if there is no lighting, it is difficult. If you are in a well light area, it is not as bad.

I wish my tint was 35% at night and 20% during the day.

BTW, here is a comparison between 35% all around (WRX) and 20% all around (G). Sorry...just found this pic...not taken specifically for this thread.

RawFusion,

If I can remember I'll post some pics in the morning of the car with the sunshade open and closed so you can see the difference on the back window. I do notice it is difficult at night to sometimes see out of the sides and the rear, but with decent lighting it is fine. Also on overcast days I feel like a PO-PO magnet because the tint looks about blacked out. Lucky for me I drive a sedan so I am not profiled by the cops as easily. With your black interior the 35% will look like my 20%. My friend has 50% on the front and 35% on the rears with black interior. It looks tight, and has never had a problem with the cop.
