My Tint Pictures
I'm posting these pictures is to help other people decide. Almost everyone else here will get to see my car at the meet tomorrow, not that my car is anything special.
After looking at the car before me at Omega Tintwerks I went with the same percentage all round: 35%. I'm happy with my choice. Well, until I get pulled over. 35% is legal in some states (MA) and it should be legal here, IMO. It's easy to see out and easy to see the drivers face from the outside.
Note: I did not adjust the pictures in photoshop to make sure to not alter the look of the tint. The sunroof shade is closed. And the windows look darker in the shade and at night. Looking at the picture from the front of the car, you can see it's easy to see out from within the car, even at night.

I recommend going to Omega Tintwerks. Vincent takes extra care to get the tint to cover the G35 coupe's tricky matrix. He also does a great job to match the tint with the edge of the front window glass. His technique leaves it looking like the windows came tinted from the factory. Plus he gives G35Driver.com members a better price than if you just walked off the street.

Tints look good Rudy. I was expecting 35's to look darker on your OB and black interior.
See ya tomorrow at Infiniti of FF for caravan.
Hell, lets install those springs while at the parking structure...lol. Just keep those beers coming from 99 bottles
Ever find a decent place for your detailing? Ah...tell me tomorrow, don't want to jack your thread. here.

Tint on OB............
That looks really good.......from here the tint guys did a great job. Leave
the shade open on your sunroof that will let more light in your car so you
won't be a target for the man. I've had my 35% on for three years without
getting nailed.......damn I shouldn't have said anything!

John, I was telling Andy that it should only take 20 people to compress the spring and one to screw on the shock. I'm down for doing it in the parking lot.
Gary, knock on wood and you'll be fine. I haven't checked what it looks like with the sunroof open yet. I just hope I can roll down the windows tomorrow. It was pretty warm today and my car sat in the sun all day long.
Thanks guys.

Thoughts on 50%?
I wanted to get anyone's opinion on getting 50% all around on a liquid platinum with stone interior 07 G35 sedan. My reasons are
- avoid the contrasting look from front to back
- easier to see at night
- avoid any chance from getting a tint ticket
- interior protection
50/50/50?

- avoid the contrasting look from front to back I think you could get away with 35% on the rear sedan window without it looking too much different from the side windows because of the angle and space between them.
- easier to see at night 35% isn't bad. I would compare it to wearing sunglasses on bright day. Of course it would be darker a night but nothing you wouldn't feel comfortable with, I'm sure. 50% is close to the stock 73%(?) the G's come with.
- avoid any chance from getting a tint ticket I guess you can argue that the darker you go the more you car will stick out to the police. Maybe 50% is better than 30% in that sense. But legally you can do anything you want with the back windows.
- interior protection I was looking at the numbers for UV protection and heat reduction while waiting for my car to get tinted. 50-5% all have 99% UV protection. When it comes to heat reduction, the difference between 35 and 20% was so small that there is no real reason to pick 20% if the only thing you wanted was less heat. Don't quote me on this but I think 35% cut something like 43% of the heat and 20% cut like 48%. 50% was maybe in the low 30% or high 20%? I don't remember.
Anyway, if I had to pick from the two you listed I would go with 50/50/35.
This sedan went with 50/35/20: https://g35driver.com/forums/picture-share/143712-tint-done-my-lakeshore-slate.html
Pictures really don't help. You need to see the tint on a car in person to really be able to choose.
Hope that helps you some.

P.S. I do love the shot of the front of the coupe with the lovely clouds on the hood. That's nice. It's almost like a background of some Michelangelo painting from the Sistine Chapel.
