Quote: Tu, thank you and thank Tony, Andy, Jeff, Jamal for helping me with my brake issue, apparntly going down twisty hill slaming on your stock brakes is a BAD thing. Anyway going home they were fine, just needed to cool it...like the rest of the group. Glad you are ok Andy!

Today was amazing, and I would get up tomorrow and do it again!

Good to know you made it back safe Wes, Come on down to the stockton meet if you can on the 28th

Quote: yeah man, those twisties were amazingly sharp. almost had me and andy (same hairpin). i couldnt even keep up with you and tony. didnt know 5AT could do such performance on the mountains. great run! andy, was that your kid singing on the 2-way? or was that jameel, **** was hilarious!

See? Why 5AT gets such a bad rap, I don't know. It also helps to have run the route a couple times.

And, FYI, the only thing I did to my brakes is the steel brake lines.

Yeah, I almost lost it back there. Thank goodness for the VDC feature. Even I was drifting after hitting the gravels, I was able to turn it around before I hit the wall. lol, I was with my son for god sake. I should have slow down. Actually my son, Michael was cool. He was checking up on the speedometer and told me I was slowing down and could not catch up with Wes.

Anyhow, we both had a great times. Thanks to Tony and Tu for setting it up. Yes, Michael was singing on the 2-way radio. He had a blast. Dang, he's only 10 years old but he could sing the whole song

Man that **** was crazy. Man all you smelled was tires burning thru the turns. That was great. The over the radio commentary was even better. I mean anyone who did not join us missed a good a$@ run. Unfortunately Wes brakes were smoking the run, and Andy almost lost it for a second. Man I saw the whole thing happen, I could even tell when the VDC kicked in and gave you control back. Tony was flying thru the turns in the automatic. I was amazed the auto was responding so well. Him and Wes were flying, me and Andy were having a hard time keeping up. We need to do it again soon, but next time lets keep the speed in check. We don't need to play catch up everyone should drive at their capacity and not push it beyond that.
