Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in LA near 6 flags?

I'm going to Disneyland this weekend. I'm leaving Monterey at 1:30pm Friday.
Since it will probably rush hour traffic, I wanted to stop off after the Grapevine near 6 Flaggs (Magic Mountain)? Is there a good restaurant around there? No fast food.

Is this a safe area to stop at?? I'll do Japanese, Pho (Vietnamese), Chinese, Steakhouse, Italian, or whatever it offers.

Name and address would be helpful if anyone can offer.

Thanks,

Gabe

There are so many restuarants here, but i would suggest either SALT creek grill, or Mimi's Cafe, theyre both next to the mall... or you can also go to claim jumpers, its on the old road..

depends on what you like. there are so many restaurants in that area. i believe there is a stretch of restaurants on the old road between mcbean and lyon. there is a local steakhouse that is really good. also, if you are taking I5, harris ranch has awesome steaks.

i know that 5 hwy EXTREMELY well. if you're going to disneyland there are a few options along the way down...

a) when you get to valencia (aka just past 6 flags) exit: mcbean pkwy (go right, then first left) HUGE shopping center on left w/claim jumper, starbucks, el pollo loco, walmart, sports authority, etc etc etc. I LOVE CLAIM JUMPER. the portions are out of control huge.

b) drive into LA, and go to westwood, follow signs to UCLA/downtown westwood, many many places to eat, sometimes celebs will be down there hanging out. jerry's famous deli is awesome, huge menu/options. deide reese cookie shop has cookies/cookie sandwiches which are quite the awesome also. there is also a CPK, a japanese place, and some coffee shops.

c) roscoe's chicken and waffles and/or pink's hot dogs. nuff said.

d) when you're down by disneyland, the rainforest cafe at downtown disney is always packed, but always good.

hope this helps!!! =)

random but I can't believe how much Valencia has grown. I lived there for about a year when I was in grade school and there is sooo much more there now than there used to be.

Wow, thanks for the info. I think I'll try either Claim Jumpers, Elephant Bar, or Harris Ranch.

Thanks a lot.
