Rim Repair - Sacramento

On my morning commute to work yesterday, I heard a loud thud sound from my front driver side area. I stopped to see if my tires were damaged or anything, but everything looked ok initially. I proceeded to work and parked and then I saw that one portion of the lip of my rim was slightly bent in ward.

Two questions:

1) Is it dangerous to be driving with this slight bend in the rim?

2) Any Sac members know of local wheel shop to fix them and preferably well priced?

Thanks!

depends on how bent, if its a lil it might just leak some air, just make sure you get it fixed or your tires might wear uneven.

I know theres a shop at elkhorn and 26th street, when you coming on watt go north, turn left on elkhorn, and then turn right on 26th street, once you turn right, there will be shops on the right, just go into the shops on the right and it will be the second shop on the right, his name is Anatoliy, he will probably charge you about 50 bucks, it also depends on how much is the bent

Got a dilemma for you guys. TireRack is definitely awesome on their customer service. Of course, there is no warranty on the rims, but I e-mailed them and sent them a picture of my damage. They offered me 1/2 on the rim plus shipping which comes out to about ~$95.

So I can either repair the rim for $50-100 or just get a brand new rim for $95. What do you guys think? I guess I could just get the new rim, and have it mounted with the old tire, then have the old rim repaired and use it as a spare.

Dilemma dilemma...
