Hmmm . . . Could you have possibly reduced the wine sauce mixture too much? A bit of butter works great too . . . And lots n lots of garlic.

Edit:

Carol and I were headed down that way, yesterday, via the Santa Cruz route. However, we turned back shortly after the last left turn at the stop sign. There were waaaay too many motorcycles making blind passes coming towards us. On the way back, a mini van followed by another motorcycle attempted a blind pass around a bicyclist and almost clipped us. Needless to say, Carol and I took it as a sign. No steak for me, yesterday.

8/18 is okay if it's in the afternoon or early evening.

Yea, I think 08/18 would be a good day. I don't want to commit to a monthly meet since my schedule shifts and I don't have the same days off month to month.

A suggestion for a location. There is the shopping area off of Auto Mall Parkway where In and Out is. There's a new Wingstop there and a bunch of other places to eat. Near 880 and there is plenty of parking.

It doesnt have to be on the same day every month, just need someone in their local area to set it up monthly, and just so ppl would know if they cant make to this one? there will be other one coming next month....

There are plenty of restaurants down there, like Claim jumpers, Pick up Stick, Roubio's, Ohana Hawaiian BBQ, couple of Pizza joints...so pick one or we could meet up at Starbuck and then decides what we want.

I used like 1/4 cup of butter it had a really nice butter nutty taste. but the wine i reduced to like 1/3 from what it was before before that it was super watery. and i used ALOT of garlic ahhahhah

Andy, thanks but I think the South Bay pretty much covers my area.

I'm going to get the details posted later tonight.
