Anybody ever used/been to Motorsport Techiques in Hayward?

I was just wondering if anybody in the areas has used them before or had any comments about them. I was just going to go there to have them put on my new tires.

I've had my springs install and alignment there, and I always go back for my alignments. Jack (the alignment guy) is cool and he takes care of me.

Damn...I paid for $150 or so for lifetime alignment at Firestone earlier this year...I figure they have the same machines as everybody else so they can't be that bad...but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'll bring it by for Jack to look at after I get it aligned at Firestone.

They mounted two sets of tires and sway bars for me before, they were good but too expensive tho, $40 per tire for mount and balance.

$40/tire? Really? I called them a few days ago and they said $20/tire. I'll double check with them today.

Btw, one of my rear tires blew out yesterday on my way home from work. Sucks because I was just in the process of trying to bring it in to a shop like Motorsport Techniques to get them replaced! The two new tires were in my car too...go figure. Now I have a great looking spare on there. Looks funny because it's so skinny but at the same time kind of cool because it's all blacked out now! =)

Motorsport Techniques has been around for a long time, when I used to have a civic I went there all the time. They're really good people.

firestone alignment works well for me. some firestones don't have lasers to align.. go to the one with the lasers. It's their latest machine.

Ouch!! $160 to mount/balance 4 new shoes. Too much imo.
Place in concord near where 2Visions Racing used to be only charged $25/tire (normally $18). $25 was b/c of my size... 285/30/20 R's and 245/35/20 F's.
