Inquiries about Sponsorship

Has anyone ever had thier car sponsored? Is it worth doing? My friend asked if I wanted to advertise on my car, Racing companies/parts store etc... In turn they would give me a free set of high performance Exhaust or Super Charger, or a set of high performance rims (Volks). He said all I had to do is show up at a few car show events in California. Probably L.A.

Hell, I wanted to get all of those upgrades on my car anyway.

I told him I was not sure and that I needed to do some research on it. So what do you guys think?

it's a lot of work...usually there is a contract involved and you HAVE to make your appearances, otherwise they will make you pay them back

its very rare that they will jsut give it away, most of the time they will give it at discounted price + free labor. i personally havnt heard of mackin giving a set of volks free for a stock car yet, but if he can get it for you and u dont mind going to shows do it.

i forgot what i got offered for wholesale price for my last car, but i know it wasnt more than a $500 part and they said i had to show up at 4 events, i passed on that. not worth my time

Whats up Gabe,

If you can keep up with all the shows than I say do it, There are different kinds of sponsorships full/partial/R&D etc......... Like I said Gabe if you are willing to meet there expectations than by all means do it It will save you lots of money

P.S see you at the pebble Beach run, my car has gotten a facelift since you last seen it

Forget it! That's not worth it. Too much time and gas. No longer interested. I just pay for the upgrades.

Thanks guys. I'll see you all tomorrow a.m. Weather out here is pretty good. It should be nice Sat. 9/15
