For Sale Items

As I had mentioned to a handful of you folks at the WC BBQ, the 'Driver Staff has been revisiting the "For Sales" listings in all of the regional boards.

If you will notice, we have a new announcement at the top of the board, today. It appears that the FS listings will no longer be allowed outside of the Marketplace. One new FS listing here has already been struck by another moderator.

Yeah, I thought that NorCal would get a pass due to the fact that we have been listing the said items in the Nor Cal G sub-forum. However, it was deemed unfair, since many of the other regions do not have this advantage. I understand that completely . . . And as such, will be moving things around a bit.

I know it's not the venue to say this, but the regional FS postings are a blessing to the community and should be allowed. I parted out all my mods locally because I did not want to deal with the hassle of shipping, and wanted to provide an even better deal with free installation. As a result of this, I met dozens of enthusiasts and forged many new friendships...

My350Z has regional forums that do and don't have special for sale sub section's. This was the solution for the regional forums that don't have a for sale sub section.

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=212132

I'll take the action that was taken to mean that either some bad apples caused the change here or the staff here to busy putting out fires to have the time to build, so tearing down was deamed a better option. In the last 3 month rolling period are the number of board vists down from the same period last year? I don't do what the staff here does, but what has been done might not be in the best interest of the majority in the long run. I renewed my premium member ship on my350 before it expired, but, I've let that expire a long time ago here.

What going to happen with the NorCal G forum? Really no point since it is really only used for buy/sell.

And I really have to agree with Boris. I dunno, I guess G35Driver really needs to re-do its forums and make it simple again. Way too many useless sub-forums. I hate how they didn't remove the G37 sub-section from the coupe section. Why have it there if its on MyG37.

The Nor Cal G sub-forum always had little to no traffic. Hence, I asked for the opportunity to be able to post Local For Sale items there, not so long ago. Well, that idea has met with a short lived life.

I may consider moving all of the NorCal Meet activities into the Nor Cal G section.

Took that suggestion right out from under me...
It is a sort-of-speak NorCal club section...no? With a sub-forum 'calendar' section to boot too that's never used.

Yes, John, it was originally intended as a club forum, I believe. It simply didn't get off the ground. I think the meet events and discussions would suite the Nor Cal G sub-forum quite well.
