I have said it before and I'll say it again. Mommy and Daddy didn't buy my G. Mommy and Daddy didn't pay for a years tuition at UC Davis. I did. At 21, dumping nearly $40,000 into those two "items" set me back enough.
I like to do one thing at a time, because when I buy something, I like to pay for it in full. Maybe I should have just financed my car and dumped cash into it. However, I feel I made the smarter decision.
As much as I love cars, there are so many other expenses I have to deal with. One day I will get wheels for my car. One day I will get coilovers for my car. One day I will do this and that, but I like to take one thing at a time. Sure, if the money was available I would do it, but I have more important things, like saving for my future. At the end of the day, experiences with the girlfriend/friends is > than having mods on the car.
I find no harm in doing research on wheel manufactures. $4k-$5k is a big investment and I would sure hate to spend it on the wrong item. One thing I noticed is that you have to be selective of how you take advice from the forums. Looks at shops like International Autobody or headlights specialists like IvoryGT. So many people rave about them but at the end of the day, their work is so-so.
Anyways, I just felt like I had to say something. Sorry if I don't mod my car to everyones else's standards.
It shouldnt cost 4~5k for rims, my iForged only costs 2600 and you could get Tu's GT-S for 2500 but thats besides the point tho...just put down your foot and get some ready already...Unless you are seriously looking for 335 or better yet S5...
It isnt all that different than say reviews on restaurants, no matter how good or bad it is, it worth little until you experience it yourslef...
Whatever you do? just dont talk to Johnson about mods would ya?...

Shane...
I really wanted JLine 10RL3's but after doing research, I learned that JLine is pretty much a one man company and any type of support is pretty much impossible.
My other choice would be the DPE S-10 from the Signature series. Color choice would be Phantom Black or Brushed Aluminum. I am most likely going to go with the DPE's.
As for a timeline, I think I will get them sometime this coming year.

As for wheels, I really want 3 piece wheels from a brand like DPE, Jline, IForged, etc.
Volks are cool but I just don't want them. They are awesome wheels and are probably much more durable than any other brand but I really want more of a "custom" wheel.
