Tommy Kaira shiftknob!

first off i like to say a big thanks to Zack from RareJdm , awesome guy to deal with and shipping was amazingly fast! thanks again! i will post pictures of that and some other new goodies i got.

i do however got a question, after reading all these post on the shiftknob removal , if i used the vice grips and held the bottom part and twist it off, was anything actually ruined? plus i noticed the plastic piece under the shiftknob is just dangling, is that ok? any info will be appreciated! thanks

Pics would help here... but if the new **** goes on fine and everything feels fine and nothings falling apart, I wouldn't worry.

I had an extra TK shift **** a few months ago too...

I used vice grips around a rag to hold everything in place. Its common sense almost to see if anything will get damaged. The **** is usually on there real tight because of the LocTite.

Yep.... I tried it with and without. Wait, now that I think about it, I took mine off. Leave it off. It will be more centered. When I played with the ring on, it had a small gap and the shift boot wood have some play and it wouldnt sit centered. Take the ring off and the **** will go all the way down and keep the shift boot in plave while centered.

Just FYI for anyone looking for one of these... they are completely out of stock from Tommy Kaira, and wont be in production again until the end of February. I already have a few pre-ordered, and will post em up when they arrive

youre the best man, just because of your pic their im going to start seriously looking for them, david or zack can one of you guys pm me the price, i was going to pick one up from my350z for 225 let me know thanks. i was worried that it was going to be too small, but i think with the rubber washer itll be perfect height. i had the nismo and hated it, it was way too tiny and weighed nothing, made shifting harder for me
