high speed braking is fine if your rotors are warmed up. the problem is doing that with wet rotors which can lead to them getting uneven faster.

how do u get wet rotors when ur driving? lol ur rotors are spinning so fast no water can collect on it and ur pads and rotors are always touching so the pad will push the water away . Originally Posted by absolutg

here are the ways to warp ur rotors
-high speed stoping
-riding the brakes
-uneven temperature changes
-over tightening ur lugs

rotors get wet when you drive through puddles or during car washes. that's why after a car wash or after driving through puddles, high speed stops are not advisable. i didn't say anything about rotors getting wet while driving. anyway the only reason i pointed out the water is because it causes temperature changes in the rotors.Originally Posted by kris79

i think it gets spun off, but it can also cool the rotors down a bunch. just saying i've heard this advice from several places.Originally Posted by kris79

And you probably don't want to be driving the van in rain, anyway.
I'd say Saturday for sure, but it supposed to rain that day, too.
What do you think?
