so i was texting with jay about my TPMS having a malfunction(when it flashes). My TPMS reset tool at my shop doest work so i took it to Infiniti.

I go in and the guy goes...did u air up the tires and i said yes the light is flashing its not because of tire pressure because tire pressure low is a solid light i told him. he said ok...well did you drive the car because after you air it up you have to drive it. I replied nicely...ummm i just drove it here and yes i have driven it since yesterday.

so they pull it in and 15 mins later they tell me the sensor is bad and they are going to order me one. i said ok and i jump back in my car and i see the light is off now. lol...if the TPMS sensor is bad the light shouldnt go back off lol.

what i think happened is when it got really cold, somehow the sensor lost communication. so i guess unless the light comes back on i really dont want them dismounting my wheel and tire. all i really wanted them to do was reset it and they did

yeah, sometime when the weather is getting too cold, my tires sensors are on and off by themselves after it warm up or something. Right now, the only thing give me a bit frustratation is my gas sensor, just filled up like $50 of gas but the gas gauge told me that the tank is half way instead of full. Seem like I have to lift the car up and replace the gas sensor.

ps. "E", do your shop do replacement of these gas sensor?

few years? that would be so nice, mine is around 11 months or 17K miles which ever come first. would your tires last a bit longer because of the sedan rather the coupe?

yeah, I know the driver's weird driving style is the other factor to wear and tear the tires too, just like Jeremy said about me! haha

ps. Jeremy, not sure, just drive like anyone else, not too speedy like the way I did on my first year (getting old). I wonder these cam in kits would help??

Yea it's the type of tire that affects mile. It all depends on how much
the tire was designed for. As far as gas light I suggest diagnostics to find out why.

PHONG...

Have you had an allignment recently? If so what are your numbers? If your camber and toe are waaaay off that would definitely cause your tires to wear prematurely.

it all depends on what type of tire he has....for example my stock bridgestone 050 is a summer tire. usually per which usually is more geared towards performance and not mileage. the bridgestone 960s i have now are All season which has a mileage warranty. just by looking at the design you can tell which one is more sporty and which one is more for mileage. defineately do an alignment when doing new tires
