Tint Prices in NORCAL - Sacramento?

Hey all, wanted to run a tint quote by. I was quoted from a local shop here in Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento Area) for Llumar Ceramic ATX Film
(http://www.llumar-axcess.com/ - allows tech devices to operate as they should with no interference ) for the front and rear windows. They gave me a quote of $420 installed. I haven't had to get tint in a while so not up to speed on the cost of this stuff. Does this seem steap to you?

thx

That's high...

Check the NorCal thread...lots of posts about this in there...you should be around $250 though for all windows(including front two).

Thanks Ivory I will search that forum.

Man, I had the Tarheels going all the way...disappointing to see them lose. And whats up with Roy Williams being so quick to throw on a Jay Hawks shirt...traitor! Oh well, maybe next year. I think they will retain their core and promote Green to the starting 5!

$420 is way too high for tint. Like said above, you should be around $250 for all windows.

I actually thought it was classy for him to stay and wear some Kansas gear. Kansas hated on Roy for leaving and winningn a championship with UNC, but he always showed his respect. He still to this day respects them, and they still to this day hate Roy. They're childish in my mind.

I had the same tint installed on my 08 G37 from Genesis Autoworks (maybe werkz) in Elk Grove.

they charged $325 if i remember right, for front windows and triangles at 30%, and rear glass at 15%.

Ivory, yeah I agree, Roy is a stand up guy. If I was a player for UNC though I wouldn't like it too much...knowing their hearts were ripped out by Kansas (of course I don't know exactly how they feel but can speculate...)

Genesis is the one that quoted me $420 in Elk Grove. They justify their highg price over tint pros ($300) because all of their guys are factory trained and their tint doesn't fade (LLUMAR) like the 3M stuff Tint Pros uses. Guess I'll keep shopping... Thanks!

I paid $600 for all the windows including the windshield. It would have been $500 if I chose not to do the windshield. The main difference in price from $250 to $600 is the material and brand of tint. I got the MADICO CERAMIC tint. this tint deflects more heat and doesn't interfere with cellphones or other devices. I think this is a good deal.

Thanks Punisher. I called another shop and got another quote for $300 for everything except the windshield using Madico charcoal [edit] tint. What are your experiences with charcoal based tints?

Apparently they do the tints for a number of dealerships in Roseville so I'll probably go with these guys.

Thanks again.

not charcoal, get CERAMIC

EDIT: The way I see it is, why get next to the best when it's only an extra $100 for the best. Besides, you only need to pay for tint once, and it's on there forever.
Let's see what price these guys give you for the charcoal tint.

420 is midrange...

I paid 250 for 3M on 5 windows and an extra 40 bucks or something for the top part of the rear with vinyl for the dot matrix.
