Laguna Seca Track Day?

Hi all my Nor Cal G'ers... Please stop me if this idea has been brought up before, but I was wondering have we ever had a G meet at Laguna Seca raceway? I only mention it because it's a world renowned track and it's realitivly close to use. I was on youtube and a guy posted a video of him on the track and that got me thinking...

Anyway I was wondering if anyone has any experince with the track and if it would be a possiblility etc...

Share your thoughts....

I was invited to the Audi events at Laguna Seca and Infineon. They have a whole weekend that they plan for it starting with a dinner on Friday night, courses in driving in the morning, then actual driving later that day. The cost was about $500 a driver. A little crazy, but it keeps the riff-raff from doing donuts in the parking lot if you know what I mean.

If anyone is interested in this, let me know. I know a few people that could help us set up something.

Interesting, what's the breakdown of the cost? Is the dinner included etc? Plus what is the date of the event, is it mainly Audi's? which would mean my *** would be handed to me? and what would it take if people couldn't make it to that event, to create our own?

P.S. thanks for leaving without me last weekend

We pulled to the side and waited for you Wes!!! Ask Tony and Rob!
I'm sorry hun....

As far as Laguna Seca, I get email reminders of the events. You have to join the Audi club to participate. It's Audi's, Porches and other assorted cars that seem to attend. I haven't had a chance to go to one, either children or work seem to pop up on the days they're scheduled. I actually paid for one and had something come up, so I'm ready to go once I find a schedule fit.

I can call my friend in the Audi club and find out how to schedule our own if there's enough interest. Either that or we can all go to one together. I get email reminders that I can forward to anyone that wants them.

go ahead and forward them to me, I would also like to see how many nor-cal people would be VERY interest in going and paying. If we only have one event like this per year then I would fork over the $500, that's what I pay for like 2 tanks worth of gas anyway!

I'd love to go, but I'm currently unemployed, so liquidity's a big issue. How soon (or far away) are we talking about if we get enough people interested?

here are your official track rental rates for Laguna Seca. They are also booked just about solid 1 year out.

I think we need to all go in a group to an Audi event.

I'll post up the email I get to see who wants to go. One of my hesitations was I would be the only Infiniti there. My friend assured me it would be no problem, but even still it felt weird.... If there were 3-5 of us I think it would be a lot of fun.

The cork screw and the turn after are like a roller coaster ride. It also makes for really cool pics. Most track days have a photographer working. I'd definately be down if I had some time to get my car ready.

I would 100% be interested in a track day at either Infineon or Laguna Seca. I may/may not bring the G, but I def have a car that would go!!

Keep me posted on this as well.
