Found a spray-on product that comes very close, but it's too hard to get even and stay uniform while spraying over original chrome, so I'm going with a gun metal metalizer lacquer. Color not quite as real ones in the pictures, but oh well. I'll post pix when I do that in a few weeks.

It's probably the pictures. Lighting is everything, time of day, angle of camera, reflections, etc. Need to see in person of how real black chromium process actually looks on my V35 badges.

Grill and headlight bezels were paint as I mentioned in earlier posts.

^ Try Googling black chromium plating + shops + CA and look for shops near you. Most shops only do metal chromium, so check to make sure they do plastic chromium too.
Ones I got were done by a member down in SoCal and no longer offers them, so don't really know any up our way (NorCal) or have personally used.
