i come up with a "subtotal" of $138.65, give or take (including drinks and desserts). so let's assume $140 (unless i'm missing more food). 8.25% tax of that is $11.55. 17% gratuity of $140 is $23.80. total together should have been $174 or less.

that's the super simple version.

the hard version is this: since both mine and Andy's orders were separate from the table's, the 17% gratuity didn't apply. therefore, after a little more number crunching, the table's charge should have been $146.17 (including tax and 17% tip) while Andy and my food should have been $23.76 (with tax).

 

I dont know how it got to 150 in the first place? I add it up, it only came to 119...

 

we had 5 iced teas/coffees at $1.50 each and 3 desserts at ~$3.50 each.
