Ok, so the group is getting bigger and the post has just been "stickied"... so lets see if more people want to join and then we will decide if:
1.we will hold another run (possibly reverse run of the most popular -with rest stop for ALL in a central location)
2. hold two runs on two different days Sat 21st and Sun 22nd
3. or option 3.... you dont want to know...option....3.....

Anyway the current most popular route is moderate, Marshall Road goes through a few small towns that we have to slow down in, but the rest of the route looks good.

Can you guys list how experienced you, so we can get an idea of the pace that needs to be set. Like how many twisties you have done etc... just to give a general idea about our new found twisties group.

Thanks and I promise this event will be a lot of fun!
EXPERIENCE
None (0 twisties experience)
Some (Been up on the hills and taken the corners a little fast at times)
So-So (Been up to the hills and/or other locations and take turns aggressively )
Alot (Been up to the hills and other twistie locations multiple times and take most or all turns to the maximum extent possible)

1. Wes (Wezbian) - Alot, but I am less comfortable with the high speed approches into twisties. I prefer slow approches with acceleration out of the turn - Hairpins and moderate Switchbacks

2.John (finagle69) -

3. Eldin (SexyG35)-

4. George (Ghayes23) -

5. Patrick (patman530) -

6. Jeremy (InLU) -

7. Jason (norcalja)-

8.Freddy(freddyb35)-

9. Rusty(Extreme G)-

For my experience, I would say Alot, and similar to Wes, I prefer not to take the approaches at very high speed. I prefer to take the turns fast, rather than go all out on the staightaways.

I've done some, and I am the same way as Wes & Pat, take turns at slow speeds and accelerate out of them.

Maaaaan looks like im going to be going out with a bunch of professionals I think i can handle the turns relatively well. I have a bunch of twisties by my house, but i know the turns so i can be aggressive through them. But going into a new area that i have not driven in before i would be more cautious.

I think following Ghayes23 would be a bad idea with his decked out suspension

This is good...keep letting out your inner feelings guys. But seriously finding out your driving style and abilities will help if we have to split up the group. But before we talk about spliting up the group let's see how many more sign up.

Keep checking the offical SAT thread for new routes and videos... i went on one last night with John and our friend Chris (so that's 2 white g37's and a black one) going up all the way to icehouse road...fun, but not recomended for first timers!

Hahaha we didnt start this group because we keep our cars parked and clean... nope we like going through gallons of gas inchs of tires because that's what our cars are made for (or at least the commericals show us they can!).

Anyway get all the practice you want and don't worry about hanging with the group, go your own speed and just have fun. I actually have less fun when I try to keep up with John...damn him... but yeah if you have any questions post them up here...
