That is a very interesting set-up.

What are the pros of this configuration?

np bro...
almost forgot less install time because you get to keep your headers, you cant even see them in our cars ROFL =D
the thing is you have to go custom exhaust set-up.
also gotta find someone that can fab up some nice pipes if you wanna go for the higher boost.
its alot more sleeperish... but then again everytime ive gotten pulled over the cop looked under my car.
my boy ian had this setup he is in sac i know he is on my350z.

Question: Because the turbo is at the rear of the car, wouldn't there be hella lag and/or minimal power gain because the air has to travel so far before it gets reintroduced into the engine?

It doesn't travel that much farther there is no intercooler. The boost on that setup is low 5pds to 10max I believe, my friend isn't responding to my txt LOL. Honestly still thinking of going single turbo. Just need to smog first LOL

A friend of mine In NY has the STS kit.

It is AMAZING, it sounds sick from behind.

it mounts in the rear in place of the muffler.

it doesnt replace the muffler... =T it sits in the back of the car close to where the rear wheels are so its high enough from the ground to not get damaged from things like speed bumps.
how much is your friend boosting? whats his dyno? pump or race? ny is 93 octane right?

It is rear mounted & yes it does hit sometimes (he drives very fast) on frame sometime (he is dropped 1 1/2)

he is running 8psi / his dyno was 380-390 (not 100% sure) /
pump fuel 93 octane.

too risky... esp in cali... I would get a CARBd HKS GT or a Vortech.... RMT sounds sick as all hell but b/c of how loud/unique it is... you are def getting pulled over when the first cop hears your car drive by in boost ...

We are in talks with STS to be the main Northern California dealer for the G35 and 350Z. Our first kit will be here in a couple of days and we will start the install immediately.

Once we sort out the first kit, we will be taking on as many jobs as we can if we are happy with the product quality and power output.

Stay tuned because I will start a new thread that will include every step of the install and pictures. We can't wait.
