I have the 2005 coupe OEM setup with G3 brake pads..they work the best in my opinion...stops on a dime and u didn't have to spend $6000 for BBK..THey do run about $150 a set though..

How do they work in emergency stops like 70+. Do you have stock rotors?

yeah i have a complete stock setup...for instance, i was in situation like u except a big semi decided to do that **** on 680 by sunol...i smoked the tires at 75-80 mph stopped very fast..my car sounds a little like yours I also have fk452 but with MRR GT-1 20" so weight is close to the same..I will never use another brand nor go back to stock pads..even if i decide to do a baer BBK.

if ur foose rims are the speedsters they are a little heavy..i used to have that chrome pkg. you can definitely notice a difference when steering and braking in compared to a alloy rim

150 for a set of pads is actually not bad.

The specs look impressive and the price is pretty good. Yeah the thing w/ my Hawk pads is that they take way tooo long to bite. After reading so many awesome reviews about Project Mu, I feel like Project MU will work best for me and I hope I don't bite my own tounge. My rims aren't the Speedster and to be honest w/ you, they don't way much at all. I've had my share of chrome rims and these are by far the lightest ones.

I will be getting new pads soon as well. I now have the Hawks and, like the OP, I'm not very impressed. My biggest complaint is their lack of performance in wet conditions. If it's raining out, forget about stopping in a reasonable distance. Any comments on the Project Mu wet weather performance?
