A good alternative to IMAX is DLP screen. The new Century Theatre at Tanforan Mall only offers DLP, and it's not as busy as the other theatres nearby.

What makes DLP superior to or a good alternative to IMAX? I'm not 100% clear on the tech regarding DLP.

DLP is not superior to IMAX. It's just digital light processing, instead of an overhead projector. It's a good alternative to IMAX because the ticket price is the same as regular shows, and you also get better picture quality. I usually check fandango for movies offered in DLP, but the local theatre in my city only has 1 or 2 rooms with DLP technology, so they're always reserved for the better selling movies.

You're thinking of the Century 9. Tanforan Mall is (or around?) in San Bruno right off El Camino Blvd next to 380

Good mall to shop? I look it up, it doesn't look that big, it has all type of weird stores.

I may go over there to take a look. I still need to go watch the dark knight.

Just got home not too long ago from seeing it.

Wow . . . I'm still blown away. That movie was intense!

I saw it tonight as well.... Pretty good... Batman's ex main squeeze in the movie was a dog but other than that, I enjoyed the storyline and the excellent portrayal of the Joker...

I forgot to stay all the way to the end of the credits.

Did I miss any teaser for another sequel or anything?

For everyone who hasn't seen the movie yet, do not wait for the end of the credits to roll, there's nothing special waiting

Tanforan is a bit weird - only time I'm ever around it is to go to the BJ's Restaurant & Brewery or the Barnes & Noble. Though they do have a Cinnabon inside...

The new Century 9 theatre and the Bloomingdales shopping center on the other hand are really, really nice. Lots of high-end shops and boutiques, a farmers market and upscale eating places on the ground level. It's all very nice.

Oh good. I'm glad I didn't miss out on anything.

Thanks for the FYI, Nate.
