a online buddy is setting up a group buy if interested in San Jose, we got about 30 people to signed up, we are trying to hit 40+ to get a better deal.

- Sport Clubs prepay 3yrs/renewal fee afterwards: $549/$29
- Super Sport Clubs prepay 3yrs/renewal fee afterwards: $699/$49
- Yes, this is gives you access to nationwide to all sport clubs (super sport club access is only for super sport club members)
- Yes, you can bring guests, but it varies on the clubs and mgmt.. some are really flexible, others might give you hassles and make you jump through hoops for access for guests, so please check w/ the club by your area before you decide to commit
- right now, looks like we have 30+ people interested (interested doesn't mean jack though, what matters to 24hr is the total number of people who sign up for the deal, so hopefully at least 20+ people end up committing)

i know alot want to start exercising and what not i know i am... so figured id spread the word just in case anyone was interested. just pm me or post a reply ill add ya to the list and give u more detail for signup date and keep u updated.

Good luck with this Frank. Sounds like a good deal if 24 hour is your sort of thing. I would go for it but I belong to Fitness 19 and only pay $12 a month. Works for me.

True there is no pool but most of the 24 hour gyms I have seen smell anyways. I always questioned how clean their water actually is. I just go for my workout with the equipment so I dont need the extra amenities. It is a good deal for some people though.

You mean 29/month correct. If it was 29/year they would be bankrupt

just quotes from people who have dun the same stuff before so yes from my understanding till i hear from guy doing group buy its 29/year.

"I did a deal about 4 years ago where I paid 700 for 3yrs and it's 20/year after that. This is my first year at 20/year and I'm glad I did it. I usually switch among Milpitas, Newark, and Fremont/Paseo-Padre, depending on when I get around to my workout." -ChopStx, BARF (bay area rider forum)

"I was offered a crazy deal about 9-10 years ago.
- All access: $500 for 3 years, $5 a year after that.
If anyone goes to the milpitas location, I'll see you there."-WHOisDAN, BARF

I used to have a few friends that worked at 24 Hour. Not much of a catch. You just pay the big $500-$700 for the first 3 years and then its super cheap for each additional year after the third (anywhere from $5-$30/year). They just hope that like most people do, their members will get lazy and not use the gym.

My brother and cousin signed up for $700 for the first 3 years and $1/year for life. He went back the next day, got his money back and invested that into a bike.
