San Francisco - performance shops

i'd like to make some mods to my G35s. i'm in san francisco - anyone has any pointers to a good performance shop that can be trusted?

i'm looking to get a stillen catback + CAI, possibly a double-din mod with alpine navi/mp3.

hey, i'm from the valley, but I'm more than sure that you can get some fellow G guys to help you install the stillen+CAI, its just basic bolton stuff.

about the stereo: you'd need a car audio shop for that, not a performance shop.

BTW: your site is pretty hot, did you do it all by yourself?

Re: San Francisco - performance shops

i realize about the stereo - i actually went by The Good Guys and talked to this chinese dude that works there. he didn't know much of what i was talking about, but he was pretty willing to help, and quoted me approximate installation price, which was about $300 including tax and all. this is if i bring my own equipment, as opposed to buying it there. their Alpine unit with the LCD was listed at $800 - i'm pretty sure i could buy it for ~$600 or even lower on ebay.

as far as CAI+catback goes, i'd rather have it installed by a shop... i want to be able to take it back and have them fix it, should something go wrong. also, i need reciepts, just in case Infiniti gets jittery and bring up "voided warranty" or something like that. i'm just too nervous about letting someone who may or may not know what they are doing mess with my $30k car. yeah, call me a control freak.

Swing by to Mach III (415-594-0030) and ask for Sam (that's me) for the performance mods. As for audio, we do it too, but I would rather refer you to a friend over in Oakland who does high-end audio. Audiomobile: 307 11th St. Oakland, CA 94607....business line 510-839-1992. Talk to either Alan or Bao and tell them I sent you. They're one of two shops in the Bay Area who has the rights to the McIntosh line, which is quite respectable.
