Geez . . . This young man is younger than my youngest child. I cannot even imagine the grief and pain, which the parents must be going through.

Please . . . Young and old alike, be careful out there. We need to know and respect the limits.

Sorry for your loss. The officer that is investigating it was one of my field training officers. He has about 18 years on. He taught me much of what I know. The investigation is in good hands. I believe there was a thread a while back about that very stretch of road and that someone wanted to go for a drive on. I don't mean to Monday morning quarterback, but it is a very dangerous road. Slow down out there, please. In another post, I just discussed reducing the mileage death rate. That is the second traffic fatality our agency has investigated this week.

May he rest in peace.
I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Damn. Just gets me thinking about how many times I've been up there and how many of my friends have gotten in accidents from hitting deer or taking a turn the wrong way... all it takes it 1 wrong move and it's over.. -sigh-.. Sometimes we take life for granted just because we have a fast car or dropped some serious G's on car parts.. Regardless if it's a ferrari or ford pinto, no car can ever guarantee us a safe ride.. It's up to the driver to be responsible and drive within his/her's limits. I hate to say it or be nagging, but we all need to drive within our limits. Want to impress ? take it to the track.

Once again, Sorry for your and his family's loss.
