Sacramento restaurant reviews.
went to Roxy Restaurant and Bar on fair oaks with the wife for lunch today, owned by the same folks that own Lucca on J street. Pretty decent food, all of the meat is sourced from a local farm the owners are also heavily involved in which is kind of neat. If it wasn't for the desperate housewives of Fair Oaks blabbering away next to us about their most recent trip to france it would have been great. Pretty good food, a little more expensive than I expected for the location, but still got out of there for $40.

Has anybody eaten Extreme Pizza? I know there is one in Natomas and one on Cal Expo(right next to Costco). I've only been to the Cal Expo one. I've always been super hesitant to try it because the name is so cheesy(no pun intended). Excellent pie though...some of the best dough I'vehad, and they have some of the most creative toppings in town. Definitely worth a try though, especially if you eat there. They have a few beers on tap, and husband and wife are always working and provide a great atmosphere.
Come visit me at Mikuni, 16th and j! best place for decent sushi and great eye candy! plus its walking distance to a bunch of bars and clubs. If you ask for me and sit in my section i might hook it up with either 1 tapped beer or 1 hot sake, as long as you tip at least 20% haha!
Dont forget about ******* burgers on 16th and Broadway. the chillie fries are bomb! open late to sober you up! plus its hella cheap!
we should have a midnight meet up in downtown sac! we can prob meet in the capital garage lot on 15th and k. 6 stories, well lighted, and local to everything!

I've heard amazing things about Squeeze. It was on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on the Food Network. The only time I made the trip there was a Sunday...and yups...they were closed.

the squeeze rocks, best burger in town in my opinion. Need to get there by 10:45 weekdays, and 11 on weekends (not open on sundays) otherwise expect to wait a long time (ever since the food network thing it has been crazy). The good looking girl that works there is the owners daughter in law, so maybe take it easy on her if she is around. They also are opening (or have opened) a new place way the heck down in Galt.
Extreme pizza is also not bad. They are all over the bay area, pizza tends to be a little bit too greasy for my taste, but it's nothing a few beers can't battle.

Anybody have a good after work Happy Hour place? A few of us from my old job are getting together this Friday after work, and I'd like to try a new place. Somewhere not as nice the The Park, but not quite the dive of Press Club(my traditional hangout actually). I'm thinking of sort of the GV Hurley type of environment.
