I am new to the G35 forum, but I may go to the mini meet in Campbell and possibly this one too. Might as well make a day of it. Would be nice to meet some new people.

Hope you can make it... It will be good to have at least the 6 of us Gs out there. We may only be there a short while as some of us are heading to South Bay meet about 1pm. It will be good to meet the Z folks.

Im sure there is a detailer in the bay area that can whip your car back into the black luster is should be. I saw some detailers in the other section that took crap black cars and made them look rediculous with the shine. Took them 10 hours but its possible..

Yeah, I got a PC7424 for Christmas and was hoping to do it myself, but I don't know how to use the thing at all. Maybe someone knows how to use one.

With a PC... you should know what you are doing. It can chew up your car in a bad way if you dont know the right compounds/foam to use.

Yeah, I have heard people say not to do it if you don't know what you are doing, and I have also heard others say it's can't really cause much damage, so I don't really know. I was looking into probably getting some Menzerna polishes. It seems like those are the standard ones a lot of the detailers use for swirls.

Nah, it didn't interfere with the SBMM, at all.

Yes, hopefully in the near future we can plan some meets together.

That would be great since Dewuser fell off the 350Z forum. He was the one that handled the organizing of the 350Z members along with Ed, to join you guys for the Santa Cruz Run. Ed is still around, thank god.

Below is an updated version of the BBQ post. For those on the list, let me know if your flying solo or you +1 or so on. Those with a Maybe, I would really like to know today if possible if you will be attending. I need to get a head count to make sure we can stay within the parks set rules. If you guys want to bring something go ahead and list it but it isn't required that you bring anything.

Thanks,

Jesse

Location & Time

Looking to start around 11am but open to suggestions

Quarry Lakes
2100 Isherwood Way
Fremont Ca, 94536

The Good

-There is a huge parking lot and a few spots where we can BBQ
-There is only 1 speed bump at the entrance but it is very small (I think you can go around it)
-The entrance has no driveway ramp so its all good for those with lowered cars
-I will put up out of pocket for Hamburger Patties, cheese, Hot Dogs, Buns and Condiments (COSTCO FTW!)

The Bad

-Sat. 1/17 is very short notice (Im starting to doubt it was a short notice)
-Parking is $5

Rules

I know we all hate them but...

-No littering
-No alcoholic beverages
-No burnouts, donuts, speeding or showing off in a dangerous manner, this is a family friendly environment and kids will be present.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things Still Needed

-2 or 3 Coolers (not sure what the count is now)

-Ice (we will need a good amount)

-Maybe Sauerkraut

-Anything you guys feel Im leaving out
