WR450 FTW, although the CRF450R is legit as hell too. i love riding the dirt.. i crash and do stupid **** more often then not... excellent place to hone your skills and push your limits.

Did you just say 'sport bike' and 'comfortable' in the same sentence? I would be cramped up on a CBR in about 10 minutes riding in a fetal position.
If I wasn't comfortable on the bikes I ride I wouldn't ride them as much as I do.
I may be more comfortable on a cruiser bike, but the sluggish vunerablity factor discomforts me.
Maybe it's me. I'm too tall and lanky. I've sat on a few. 999, RC51, R1, etc...K1300GT, ST3, ST1300, FJR are more my comfort level. If I do buy a sport bike, it will be a VFR. I think I'll wait to see if the 1000cc V-5 rumors come true. The current VFR is very, very comfy. Gentlemen's sportbike.

I love the rumors of the new rc but I doubt it will come true.
How many bikes run on you chippie? Most of the times when I get pulled over they let me go just because I was kind enough to stop haha.

bro i love the cbr 600 rr i tired suzuki gsxr didnt like yamaha r6 didnt like kawasaki ninja didnt like id just love the cbr handles its light good for turns nothing cant beat cbr
I agree the new CBR's are substantially light, but at the same time.. the cute details that makes the bike pretty on paper are useless if the rider doesn't utilize them. which from noticing a good portion of riders out there don't.
every summer thousands of new riders come out and every summer thousands of riders find out that its not a good idea to ride to say you ride or for the image because that's where "accidents" happen hahaha. don't get me wrong, its still funny to watch...
back on topic, I love to ride red, but if i where to dip into the 600 range (which i wouldn't) but IF i did... kawi 636 ftw.
actually, if i where to ever go there i would scrap street bikes in general and ride a husky 610 supermoto bike jumping intersections in SF. easily. nothing would beat the fun of a dirtbike on the street.
the weight to power ratio of the 636 is nice,112/400. not too much power, but definitely something you can feel. a lot of people buy 600's from lack of experience or fear of bigger bikes, which is fine as you should never ride outside of your comfort zone... but when i rode a RR then hopped on a 636 its noticeably, yet controllably stronger. and maybe because i'm a bigger guy and slightly bigger bikes work better for me and i don't have a problem throwing a bigger bike into a turn and getting low... and all the figures are just a matter of year differences and re-vamps.
dont get me wrong, the cbr and basically the entire honda family of superbikes is one of the best out there, but still.... dont get stuck in the hype. if you feel the RR is the most comfortable go with it.
i think you mentioned you where going to buy a bike... check out the 636 and the daytona 675 before you finalize your decision. i don't know much about the 675's but i haven't heard any bad things about them either.

i've been riding my CBR 600 f4i for a couple months now, it feels soooo much better than the dinky kawi 250 that my gf and I were practicing on. I think being a good cyclist makes you a better driver in the sense that you are much more aware of your surroundings and can anticipate potential obstacles.
