Melissa,

I won't be attending the dinner. I'll be in Carmel for a few days, at that time. A good friend of the family is getting married on the beaches of Carmel that weekend.

Nonetheless, thank you for setting up this dinner event. I trust that everyone has a great time, as usual. Simply be sure that everyone pays their proper share of their dinner, taxes, and tip. LOL . . . I won't be around to pick up remaining monies that people might have inadvertently forgotten to contribute and I have to believe that Shane's charity is running short these days.

Have a great time.

Remember what I told you and Shane? I don't owe anyone any reasons nor do I really feel the need to explain myself to anyone. However, Melissa is a good sport and based on that fact, I felt I owed her a reason for not going.

No, don’t do that, instead of reserve the whole dinning room? Just make reservation for 25. If people for whatever reason don’t want to come out to this event? its their loss, and if some wants to cry about it, just cause you and others want to start a meet on your own? let them!

Heck I would've post the text you got and ask everyone WTH did you do wrong!!!

you have to have 30 people to commit so i can reserve the room......and then its going to cost me $100 deposit in which case, i had no problem paying if people were serious about committing....but i dont have 30 people who are serious.

Why do you need to reserve the whole room, why cant you just reserve a table for 20~25? or maybe split into two tables?

I told you and others before, its hard for people to spend 30 bucks for meal during an "car meet", especially with current economic climate, so dont expect much turn out when we doing this type of meets. If you doing this at places such as In N Out? there will be car loads of people showing up.

Sure we can do that, I will just get that Freckled Lemonade and munching on others fries.

But their burger with drink would be about 20 bucks with tax and tip, if you do that, why not put in 5~10 bucks more for some steak?

Melissa . . . Sorry to read that you have decided to cancel this particular event. Nonetheless, believe me, your efforts are much appreciated.

I will lock this thread and leave it stickied for the time being.
