04 Headlight question...

In my stock 04 headlights I have the orange light I want to take it out and replace it so that its clear....

Anyone know anyone who does this

I live in San Jose

take out the whole headlight, bake it, remove it and you still gotta find a clear piece, just buy 06+ headlight if you dont want to deal with all those...

Thanks for the help but I dont want to pay that much, I was looking for someone who does the baking locally. Im in San Jose CA.

Are you willing to do the work yourself? I can show you how to take the headlights off the car and apart.....you dremel out the orange lense and make a new one

I sit back and drink a 40oz of Colt 45!

In order to clear out the lense, you need to dremel out the orange lense, then make a clear lense out of some type of material. I/we have used a flourescent light fixture cover and cut out a new lense from it.

If it was me though, I'd save up and get the 06 headlights.

Much better off that way. Making the clear look good is not easy.

there are few peps here that wanted to do exactly that, a few ask me to do it for them and my answer to them was " Not worth it to open up the headlight, dremel out the orange lens, cut a new lens, glue that in, seal up the headlight. Too much work for very little." What you could do is get some lens cover from "something BAT" I don't remember, but ask him don't make a cutout for the orange area. Cheap and easy. Alex.
