I believe it's man made too! seems quite suspicious that all of a sudden, the common swine flu that was not spreadable to humans.. all of a sudden, evolves and jumps HUGE steps to be contagious from human to human! ... I understand that flu viruses mutate, but this is ridiculous ...
I think it was released in Mexico since whoever made it (or released it) knew that many people cross the US-Mexico border, as well as most of our products being manufactured in Mexico, makes it easy for the virus to spread and infect the US.

There were cases of swine flu some 12 years ago. It's nothing new.
You can make all sorts of conspiracy theories: how about the national debt? Then the governemt releases only so many million Tamiflu shots at 120 bucks a pop and they know by using the media and people as a whole panicing they will sell every single shot. How about the government testing to see how dependent we are on them? How well can they control us.
I think it's crap. Viruses do mutate and were always a step behind.
It just goes to show that you don't need to rely on your government as luck because they could care less about you as an individual. They are no on your level. A governemt big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have.
One can say the same for AIDS.... Its stuff like this that keeps me employer....
Egypt's order that all 300,000 pigs in the country be slaughtered to travel bans and putting the kibosh on kissing, the world is taking drastic — and some say debatable — measures to combat swine flu.
Egypt ordered the pig slaughter even though there hasn't been a single case of swine flu there and no evidence that pigs have spread the disease. Britain, with only five cases, is trying to buy 32 million masks. And in the United States, President Barack Obama said more of the country's 132,000 schools may have to be shuttered.

Before Everyone Completely Loses Their **** Over Swine Flu..
The 2009 flu outbreak in humans that is widely known as "swine flu" apparently is not due to a swine influenza virus. It is due to a new strain of influenza A virus subtype H1N1 that derives from one strain of human influenza virus, one strain of avian influenza virus, and two separate strains of swine influenza virus. The origins of this new strain are unknown, and the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) reports that this strain has not been isolated in swine.[3] It passes with apparent ease from human to human, an ability attributed to an as-yet unidentified mutation.[4] The strain in most cases causes only mild symptoms and the infected person makes a full recovery without requiring medical attention and without the use of antiviral medicines.
Sooo....everyone cool out, we'll all be OK, even if we all get it. Keep an eye on your little ones, just in case, but everyone else can let it go. It's just another "Bird Flu Pandemic." A more exciting news story than a viable threat.

Pharmaceutical industry. We developed Tamiflu and are #1 in AIDs medication. We also have drugs for Hep B and many other things... Drugs are great!
Gilead Sciences
No. 1
Industry: Pharmaceuticals
Sales: $5.3 billion
Net Income: $2 billion
The company that tops the BW 50 list this year is one of the world's leading producers of drugs for infectious diseases. Gilead Sciences (GILD) saw sales rise to $5.3 billion in the past 12 months, capping off three years of 38% sales growth on average. One secret was turning a cocktail of AIDS drugs into a single once-a-day pill, making it easier for patients to stick to their drug regimens. But with 84% of 2008 sales coming from just three AIDS treatments, Gilead CEO John Martin is pushing to diversify. In 2008, a hepatitis B drug called Hepsera brought in $341 million in sales, and many of Gilead's scientists are now working on treatments for hepatitis C. In March, Gilead announced plans to buy CV Therapeutics (CVTX), which develops drugs for cardiovascular diseases, for $1.4 billion.

Seriously, though. I'd like to know the source so I can calm a friend of mine. He's flipping out cause he thinks his daughter's gonna die if she gets it.
