I might be able to make it; I'm driving back up to NorCal on the 19th. Anyone know how bad the traffic is on Friday around 6ish from Berkeley over the Bay Bridge to San Fran and down through San Bruno?

Aside from the bay bridge, you could try going South on 880 and exiting 92 (san mateo bridge) .. there's usually no heavy traffic going west bound 92 toward Foster City-- then connect to 101 S. You might hit traffic on 880 though.. you could always take the 580 to 238 and 238 to 92..

Well..put it to you this way, it's certainly alot better then driving on the 101 in LA during rush hour.. but.. there's going to be some bumper-to-bumper heading to/over the bridge until you leave SF on the 101 south. Afterwards, it will be moving--probably 45mph until you reach SFO area..grind down to a 20-30MPH and then be pretty clear til you reach sunnyvale area..

238 is two lanes of stopped traffic no matter what time of day it is.
IMO It will still move faster just to go over the bay bridge.
There may be traffic, but it's moving faster than 20 mph with brake lights everywhere.
^^ you're probably right.. I usually only take 880 or the 238 when picking up feeder mice for my snake in Berkeley, it's usually moving pretty well around 2pm
