Hey this is the same date as Formula Drift...Is anyone going to F Drift?

 

yes this is the same day as the drift. i know a couple of people who are going for the drift event though

 

Update

I have been working with T.I. Development Authority to get a spot reserved for us. Last week Ed & I went on a tour with the assistant to the Director and picked out a spot. We talked $ for the permit and insurance to hold the gathering there. On Friday I was trying to get it all taken care of and the guy helping is now on vacation. I talked to the Director this morning and was told that it was much more than I was originally told.


As of now we have a few options.

1) We Cancel

2) We show up and hang out like we do everywhere else we go, no reservations, park where available

3) We BBQ @ Quarry Lakes.

Im open to any alternative suggestions.

Ok guys we need your input and ideas. Here's a more specific possible spots
in TI. Take note, all these places don't have restrooms and foodstands.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.



Y (purple) - reserved for a corporate event that same day
X (red) - the spot we're aiming for
A (yellow) - alternate spot (not sure if included in the reserved area)
B (blue) - not too far from the water but it looks like its available
C (white) - another alternate spot on the other side of the island, area is half-paved
D (black) - middle of the island, not much good view but plenty of parking

the red looks the best but that place barely has parking.. usually its packed with spectators anyways specially on a saturdai. but anything will do. as long as we all chill right? =)

 

The Red is the BBQ Pit and it comes with a lot that accommodates about 100 cars.

 

oh and we can always switch this up to this one spot in alameda. i dont know exactly where it it but its where the retired army carrier ship is located at. i went there once because theres warehouses that sell motorcycle parts and they have a HUGE lot with nothing there but empty spaces. would b a nice bbq place but thats juss another suggestion. quarry lakes would b cool too since i live 5 mins from it =)

 

I think Quarry Lakes is going to be out of the question since people are coming from so far for this.

Point A
We will be meeting at Z Car Garage @ 9am. This is the Official start of our drive.

Point B
Plans are to reach Red Robin @ 10:30am. If you are not planning on Caravanning with the Z Car Garage crew this is the place you will want to meet up with us to have Brunch.

After we Eat (No Set Time, No Rush) we will stage and head out to T.I. We will only be doing a pit stop here to hang out and take some pix. Due to lack of permits we will only stop for 1.5-2 hours and then move on.

Final destination will be Alameda where we will be able to hangout with no restrictions. At this point we hang out until whenever.






The Maps will be available the day of the meet. All Caravans other than the official Z Car Garage one needs to be coordinated amongst yourselves.
