High Oil Consumption Issues

I know some of you have had some issues with high oil consumption issues. How did things work out for those who had problems? I took my car to Beshoff today and found out I was down quite a bit of oil. I am now going through the oil consumption test to see if my engine is burning more than it should. 2 qts down in 3800 miles sounds llke alot.

Stellar service from Beshoff. It was good to finally make it down and talk to Brian and see the place. I see why so many drive so far to have Beshoff take care of their G's.

Wow another non-revup going/gone South. Usually it's the revups with this issue as mine was. Quart every 1900mi is to much imo (2qt/3800)

Revups have a TSB with a OC chart (ok/no good) and how I got my replacement. Not sure what the OC standard is with non-revups.

Heard nothing but good with Beshoff, so you can prolly rest assure they 'won't' play games like sooo many dealers have and still do.
Amazing stories in those other OC threads about games played.

G/L

Joey is a good guy hes taking care of me before. 100% satisfied with work, labor, time, and coustermer servise. They did lag on a few parts but that was due to their parts supplier.

G/L with your test. Mine has the same thing but my waranty just exspierd

Maybe that's standard for non revups.

Here's standard for the revups since Jan 2008.
0 to 24 #'s = oil level in mm's. 24mm = 1qt.
'no good' range = warranty replacement.

My OC was 24mm/2300mi = got replacement.

Your 2005 a 5at or 6mt?

That OC chart I posted only pertains to these G35's with 6mt's:

G/L to everyone with this OC issue be it a revup or a non revup VQ.

By my calculation, I am down 48mm for 4k miles or 12mm for 1k miles. I hope someone with non-rev up can chime in with the oil range since they seem alot different than rev-up. Also, its possible to drop a few mm within the 1001-1500 mile range so this may also change when the engine may drop into the 'no good" range. We will see next month.

Read about some non-revup owners experiences in the main OC threads. Though most are about revups, none the less non-revs are in there too. My350 one as well. Might want to check those out. Have a 6-pack of whatever for each one, they're long and cover 'years' of this continuing issue. Wealth of info/knowledge to be had in those.

im an 05, 6spd... WTF!! "if you confirm low engine oil OR unusual engine noise"

Ive taken my car into a few dealers for a "engine noise" and so far none of them have fixed it... "its nothing thats normal" :;3 more appts later"i dont hear nothing let us take a deeper look..day later.. theres something loose in the transmission well fix it" (still makes noise) next tech different dealer... "its the flywheel we will replace and it will fix the problem.."(fly wheel and clutch was replaced at the other dealer but ok...) nope noise still there next tech..." its the timing belt theirs spacer's inside and when they get worn down they start to knock".(wtf?).. next non certified nissan/infiniti tech, "sounds like a rod" im about to give up i keep getting different answers as if they dono wtf there talking about.... they should know my engine like the back of there hand they are certified arent they?
