Brake shop that resurfaces D/S rotors?

Anybody know any good shops that resurface aftermarket rotors ...drill/slotted????

Called around to couple shops and they don't do it or don't know what i'm talking about.

Thanks!

I guess it depends on who u call, didnt think of conventional shop. Midas had no prob with it.

Called tire shops, local shops, and firestones and most didn't know what i wanted or wouldn't recommend it. I think cos they couldn't do it.

$80 for fronts!

After refinishing the rotor, it will be thinner than before, and probably close to, if not below, allowed tolerance. Also, it is not easy to get the refinishing done perfect unless extreme care is taken, because of these reasons, and the costs/efforts associated with refinishing, I would just recommend going for a new rotor.

R1Concepts premium rotors with slots, cross drilled holes, dimples, or any combination of the above, are cost effective and perform well - they are a good alternative to resurfacing. A pair of drilled slotted front rotors can be had for about $176 + tax & shipping

my personal recommendation is to just go with the slotted rotors; the drilled holes are mostly for looks from what I've been able to understand (and also have the potential of developing cracks). Myself, I run the drilled & slotted rotors and I've been very happy with them.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep tha that in mind on next pads.

Shop said I was still above the minimal thickness that the RacingBrake had on their rotors.
