Re: Food for Dyno 8/14 @ Modacar

the FAQ on the left hand side tells you how to put polls in.

in either case...I say we gather money from people at the meet and get pizza delivered. obviously only for those who are interested.

linda, if you wanna get drinks, just get 24 cans of coke. something simple. don't go through too much trouble.

It really doesn't matter either way. If everyone is going to leave after their dyno, then we don't need to bother. I like pizza, but it is what the others want.

give people some time to vote....

i've learned the hard way that not everyone checks these boards quite as often as others do.

give them time...

I voted no for myself because I won't be there too long. I have a Subura driving event to go to that day later in the afternoon. So it doesn't mean that I don't want you guys to throw a BBQ, just that I won't be in on it.

Re: Food for Dyno 8/14 @ Modacar

ditto on that, I will be going to the same event and although it is a great idea, I think a park setting is much more preferable and relaxing than a car shop with everyone trying to get their car dyno'd

Re: Food for Dyno 8/14 @ Modacar

What if you make it a bring-your-own-meat (no innuendo intended) type of thing? That way if someone wants to bring chicken, steak, hot links, or whatever, then people don't have to worry about bringing enough for everyone. This also makes it so that some people aren't having to bring $30 worth of steaks, while others are only having to pay $8 on potato chips for everyone. Those who opt not to bbq, but are staying can always order pizza or make a run down to one of the various fast food places around there.

Okay, let's just bring chips & dips and salsa and snack stuff. If you don't want to that is fine.

Re: Food for Dyno 8/14 @ Modacar

I hate working weekends!! How late is everyone gonna stay? I work in SF but if people are still going to be there in the afternoon then I might make the drive out. Damn...work sucks.

I think dip and chips is a good idea. Cant go wrong with that.

The last dyno is at 1:00pm, but I was hoping that we could go on a drive, but probably not in Livermore. Has anyone been to Wente Vineyards in Livermore? On the map it looks like a pretty fun road. They have alot of concerts out there. I would like to go check it out.
