Talking My Mach III experience (long overdue review)

Long overdue post. Long story short, the Army has a weird way of keeping you working for them longer in places with limited computer access....

So I went in to Mach III, to install an aftermarket alarm; the Python 991. The alarm itself is feature packed. Too many features to list... auto-start, temperature gauge (which I think is wonky, but so is the OEM temp gauge), 6 different LED colors (comes in handy), freaking long range remote, etc. The only complain that I have it that the "unlock" button is a bit difficult to press... I need to jam it in order to make it unlock. For those of you that don't know, this is pretty much the same thing as the Viper 5901. Just different brand name.

As far the install itself, they did a good job. They installed it on the roof right behind the rear view mirror, which I think it a pretty nice place to place it. Blue LED & the red OEM LED lights up to defray any nearby thief. Only complaint is that I was told that the tilt feature (just in case some thief jacks up your car) was going to be installed, but wasn't. But pretty sure you can just find it on Ebay for mad cheap though, so no biggie. Just be sure to bring your valet key and not the spare key. I kicked myself in the *** with this.

Service: is excellent. Kris and the other korean feller are cool and knowledgeable, not to mention, they hook forum members out alot. Just be sure to bring a book (or beer) because it gets lonely there.

Don't get caught with your pants down one day and wish, "damn, I wish I had an aftermarket alarm". As one guy called it on the forum, the OEM alarm is a "glorified car honker".

Anyways, good peeps. Will go back for more work.
